Here are the key features of the Atlas patio umbrella:

  1. Style Variety

Not only is the Shademaker Atlas available in two different frame colors, but there are also four canopy sizes to choose from depending on your unique shade needs. The infographic below offers a simple breakdown of the differences in canopy size and shape.

  1. Fabric Variety

To further customize your Atlas patio umbrella, there are over 30 fabric options to choose from manufactured by some of the most distinguished companies in the business: Sunbrella, O’bravia, and Outdura. If you’re looking for an ultra-durable fabric, there are even a handful of Sunbrella awning-grade fabrics available.

  1. Quality Manufacturing

Each Atlas umbrella is manufactured with some of the finest aluminum to ensure strength, durability, and integrity. At the center of the umbrella’s construction, a one-piece aluminum pole and high-performance hub and fittings provide a stable and sleek design.

  1. Mounting Options

There are three ways to properly mount or install an Atlas patio umbrella. The most common installation method found in residential applications is an umbrella base. There are multiple base options to choose from each offering a simple, minimalist look great for any outdoor style.

Other installation options include concrete and in-ground mounting kits. These options are ideal for commercial applications where permanent placement is preferred. It is highly recommended that mounting kits and final installation be completed by a licensed contractor.

  1. Cleaning with Ease

The umbrella’s aluminum structure and base can easily be sprayed or wiped down to remove any dirt, debris, salt, or chlorides commonly found around pools. To keep your umbrella base in good condition, be sure to remove the base from standing water and store it when not in use for an extended period.

The assortment of canopy fabrics are easy to care for, in addition to being stain and mildew-resistant. Their rich colors have been engineered and tested to last for years to come with proper routine care.

  1. UV Protection

Sunbrella, O’bravia, and Outdura each have their own engineering and manufacturing process to offer exceptional UV resistance fabrics. If you want top-of-the-line protection, Sunbrella outshines its competitors by being the recommended shade fabric by The Skin Cancer Foundation.

  1. Flame Retardant Options

Canopy covers can also be manufactured in Firesist flame retardant fabrics. These fabrics satisfy most fire codes and commercial applications for hospitality businesses such as restaurants, shopping centers, and hotels.

  1. Manufacturer’s Warranty

Shademaker offers a limited warranty on the Atlas patio umbrella, with five to ten years on parts and fabrics. For a more specific warranty breakdown, take a look at the product page.

It is important to note that damage from wind is not covered under the manufacturer’s warranty. While the Atlas has a wind rating of eight, this rating is based on the use of a contractor-installed mounting kit and should only be used as a guideline.
